The Carolina Crate is Lowes Foods’ special version of what is widely known as a CSA or “Community Supported Agriculture” box that is filled every week with an assortment of fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

What's In the Carolina Crate?

There are 6 to 8 varieties of seasonal assortment of produce in each box selected based on what's at its peak each week. One crate feeds a household of 2 to 4 people. Please understand that weather plays a huge role in the availability, contents are subject to change, so the box items may not match the newsletter’s menu. We make every effort to make the menu as accurate as possible, but Mother Nature never fails – and last minute changes have to be made!

You can’t request what you receive...and that’s part of the fun!

Each week you will receive an email with recipe ideas and learn more about the farms you have supported.

Full Share:

  • $300 (10 weeks)
  • Starts June 8 and ends August 10

Half Share

  • $150 (5 weeks, you can choose the first 5 weeks or the last 5 weeks of the summer)
  • First Share starts June 8 and ends July 6
  • Second Share starts July 13 and ends August 10

Weekly pick up is quick and easy!

  1. Each week, you’ll receive a phone call once the crate has been delivered so we can set up a pickup day and time.
  2. When you arrive at the store, pull into the Lowes Foods To Go pickup area.
  3. Call the posted phone number (where applicable).
  4. A host will ask for your name and bring your Crate to your car.

P.S. You’re welcome to place your regular Lowes Foods To Go shopping order for the same time.
