Make the Most of Your Vacation

Here are some tips and recommendations to help make your vacation rental grocery order as seamless as possible:

  1. Place your order in advance! You can place your Lowes Foods To Go pickup or delivery order up to two weeks (14 days) in advance. Pickup and delivery windows fill up very quickly, especially for Saturday afternoon at coastal locations. We recommend ordering as far in advance as you can.
  2. Modify at any time. You will be able to modify your order up to approximately 4 days before your pickup/delivery window. Your personal shopper will also contact you with substitutions and add any last-minute items you wish to add.
  3. Plan your arrival and delivery window. Saturdays at coastal NC and SC locations can be extremely busy and there are a few tips that’ll make your pickup (or delivery) go smoothly:
  • Pickup orders: Arrive as close to your selected pickup time as possible. If you arrive later than your window, you may wait longer as other vacationers arrive for pickup.
  • Delivery orders: We recommend picking a delivery window well after your anticipated move-in time (traffic can be heavy!). If placing a delivery order that contains beer or wine (NC only), someone from your renting party must be present at time of delivery and must present a valid, state-issued photo ID. We recommend selecting a delivery window that is 2-3 hours after your projected move-in time to ensure you can arrive and be ready for the delivery.

  • What if the items I ordered are out of stock?

Our experienced personal shoppers will substitute (if you allow substitutes on your items and/or order). Your shopper will also contact you via text to review those substitutes as well as add any last-minute items you may need.

  • Who is shopping and delivering my order?

Since 1997, Lowes Foods To Go has been offering personal shopping services for our guests and communities we serve. When you shop directly with us (through our Lowes Foods app or at shop.lowesfoods.com), one of our personal shoppers (an employee, or “host” on our payroll) will select your items and contact you about your order via text. Personal shoppers also ensure your order is safely and carefully stored until time of pickup (or delivery). Over time, you’ll get to know the team of personal shoppers at your preferred store and they get to know you and your family as well!

When ordering for delivery, our personal shoppers do everything above as well as load your order into one of our trusted delivery provider’s vehicles.

  • How should I pay for my order?

We recommend paying for your order using the “Pay Online – Credit/Debit” option—this secure, PCI-compliant payment method is safest and fastest option, and this option also includes PayPal payments. We also offer curbside credit/debit payment as well as EBT payment. If paying by EBT, please come inside our store at pickup so we can process your EBT payment.

  • How do you know how I like my fruits, veggies and meats?

Your personal shopper takes great pride in selecting only the freshest, finest produce and meats available, and before you submit your order, you can include notes for any special requests (e.g., "I like my bananas really, really green." or "Please select the leanest pork chops possible."). What's more, your personal shopper will learn your preferences as he/she picks additional orders for you.

  • Will my order be fresh when I pick it up or get it delivered?

We keep your groceries fresh until the moment you arrive or when they go out for delivery. Frozen items are kept in freezers, refrigerated items in coolers, hot/fresh items are packed right before we load them into your car or our delivery vehicle.

  • Is Lowes Foods To Go more expensive than regular grocery shopping?

No, it's not. While other companies often mark up their prices online, Lowes Foods To Go prices are always the same as in-store, and even when you consider the $4.95 personal shopping fee per order or the new $49 annual membership (fee waived), Lowes Foods To Go makes it easy to remember all your items in fewer trips because your shopping lists are saved. Lowes Foods To Go also saves you valuable time to spend with family and friends, which is worth more than money!

  • Can I buy beer and wine online?

Of course! You can add any beer or wine products to your pickup order (NC and SC) or delivery order (NC)! We require a valid, state-issued photo ID to be presented at time of pickup (or at your delivery destination) for orders containing alcohol. In addition to a huge selection of wines and beers by the bottle or can, we've also got 32/64oz. growlers of craft brews from The Beer Den, which are filled fresh for your order. Cheers!

  • Can I order catering through Lowes Foods To Go?

Well of course you can! Just select any of the party trays and catering items available online, and pick up as you would any regular grocery order. View our Catering Menu.

  • What is FlyBuy?

To keep you and our Hosts safe, we recommend downloading and using the new FlyBuy app for pickup orders. FlyBuy lets you indicate when you’re on your way to the store, speeds up your pickup experience, and helps you avoid touching a callbox when you arrive at the store. The FlyBuy app can be downloaded in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
